Al Salam Bank Reveals “Danat Al Salam” Savings Scheme Prizes for 2017

​​One of the pioneering Shari’a-compliant banks in the Kingdom, Al Salam Bank-Bahrain, announced today that it has significantly enhanced its popular ‘Danat Al Salam’ Savings Scheme for 2017; offering customers more chances to win life changing prizes including 3 “Al Dana” Grand Prize Villas located in Riffa and “Gmash” monthly grand cash prizes worth up to $340,000 and a host of monthly “Fusoos” valuable cash prizes. In addition to this, the scheme also offers customers an attractive monthly expected annual profit feature on their investments. 

Commenting on the announcement, Al Salam Bank’s Acting Head of Retail Banking Mr. Mohammed Buhijji said: “At Al Salam we design products that not only meet our customers’ financial needs, but also reward them for their loyalty to the Bank. In line with this customer centric focus; ‘Danat Al Salam’ is beginning 2017 by launching an improved savings scheme that supports our customers’ future financial success whilst offering value added benefits.” 

The fully Shari’a-compliant savings scheme, which was launched in 2016, rewards both Al Salam Bank and BMI Bank customers. With every BD50 invested, customers are entered into the draw to win 3 “Al Dana” Grand Prize Villas in Riffa, “Gmash” monthly grand cash prizes worth up to $340,000 in addition to the monthly “Fusoos” valuable cash prizes worth over $337,000. 

Each month, 35 customers will win $500 each, 2 customers will take home $5,000, and 1 lucky customer will win $10,000. The Monthly “Gmash” Prize draw will start from the month of March at $25,000, and will increase by $5,000 each month leading up to a $60,000 cash prize draw in December 2017.  The ‘Danat Al Salam’ Grand Prize will be a luxurious villa in Riffa which will be drawn every 4 months, with a total of 3 villas presented to winners throughout the year. In addition to this, loyal customers will be rewarded with double chances to win when keeping their investments for a longer period in their Danat Al Salam account that will entitle them to an additional entry into the monthly draw.

To be eligible for the prize draw, customers need to open a Danat savings account at any Al Salam Bank-Bahrain or BMI Bank branches with a minimum deposit of BD50. The Danat Savings scheme draws will be officiated by representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Tourism along with the internal and external auditors and in accordance with Central Bank of Bahrain and Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Tourism laws.
