Treasury & Asset Management Group
The Treasury and Asset Management Group comprises specialist teams responsible for managing the Bank's proprietary treasury and related activities, and also for providing treasury and asset management services to the Bank�s institutional, corporate and private clients.
The Group's main activities include financial institutions relationships, asset and liability management, foreign exchange and commodities, product structuring activities, and investment in equities and securities.
Proprietary Services
The proprietary activities of the Legal and Trust Services Group include the provision of legal and general counsel, business advisory, and product structuring and development services for the Bank and its business groups.
Legal and General Counsel
This team is responsible for establishing the Bank�s legal policies and practices to ensure that Al Salam Bank is protected against legal risks, both from an operational and transactional perspective, wherever it operates.
The maintenance of the highest levels of compliance is critical in ensuring that the Bank is run in accordance with international best practices with respect to legal risk mitigation, and compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the Bank in the different jurisdictions in which it operates.
Business Advisory
The skills base of the General Counsel team includes strong a strong business advisory capability, which is leveraged to support the Bank's strategic organic and inorganic growth aspirations.
The team assists in the management of acquired companies to add further value to post-acquisition activities, in order to differentiate the Bank from its competitors.
Product Structuring and Development
The team works with the Shari�a department and business groups to create innovative Islamic finance solutions and products for the Bank�s clients.
The provision of cutting-edge, innovative Shari�a-compliant structures is a crucial element in demonstrating the Bank�s technical capabilities as a global Islamic player.
